Honoring Mary Beatrice Davidson Kenner During Black History Month

This Black History Month, we proudly honor Mary Beatrice Davidson Kenner, a pioneering inventor whose 1957 patent for the sanitary belt helped shape the future of menstrual care. At a time when conversations around periods were often hidden and stigmatized and opportunities for Black women were deeply limited, Mary’s innovation brought comfort, dignity, and progress to women everywhere.


Her legacy reminds us that every girl deserves products and education designed with her in mind.
