If she's nervous when it comes to learning about period products, starting off with something simple and straightforward is best. Unlike pads and tampons that may require some practice, putting on period underwear is no different than putting on regular underwear, so there's no learning curve.
For lighter flows, just about anything will work. But if your tween has a heavier flow and may not be able to change as often, pads with a high absorbency level are your best bet.
If your daughter is involved in sports or physical activities, tampons or period underwear might be a better fit as they provide more freedom of movement.
If you're concerned about environmental impact, you may want to evaluate reusable options like period underwear or menstrual cups. They can be washed and reused, reducing waste. But, keep in mind your tween's comfort level as menstrual cups may require a lot of practice to ensure proper usage.

This depends on which bundle you select: if you choose the bundle with the Period Prep Kit, you will receive our Day Flow pads that are super thin and about 7 inches long. If you choose the bundle with the IRL Kit you will receive 3 pads; 2 of them will be about 7 inches long and 1 pad will be about 9 inches long.
If you select the bundle with the Period Prep Kit, you will receive 1 pair of sustainable reusable period underwear. If you select the bundle with the IRL, you will not receive any period underwear.
Please carefully check the size chart and the video, the underwear are a blend of children's and juniors sizes to accommodate the widest range of tween size possible. We have a strict no return policy with period underwear, so please take your time selecting a size.
